Ashland Progress
Mrs. Rebecca Jane Haynes. member one of the old inhabitants of Clay County, died 
at the home of her son, Wiley Haynes, Saturday Morning. She was 82 years old and 
had been a resident of this community practically all her life. She had been a 
remarkably healthy and vigorous woman until a few years ago when age began to 
cause natural decay of her vitality. Mrs. Haynes was the mother of ten children 8 
sons and 2 daughters. Two of her sons and her husband are dead. The six sons 
living are John, Lark. Allen, Lee. Wiley and Gip Haynes. Her daughters are Mrs. 
E. M. Moore, of Texas and Miss Martha Haynes. Funeral services were held at 
Concord church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and were attended by many relatives 
and friends of the deceased. The service was conducted by Rev. F. J. Ingram
