Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Lovie Haynes of Pyriton were held at Concord church on 
Wednesday, November 1st, at 3:00 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. S. C. Ray. Mrs. 
Haynes was 65 years of age and had spent her life in Clay County. She had been in 
ill health for more than a year. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Annie 
Hassell, of Talladega, Miss Leona Haynes of Pyriton and Mrs. Mattie Matson of 
Talladega. Interment was in the Concord cemetery, with White Funeral Home 
directing. Pallbearers were Sherman Haynes, Cecil Carpenter, Dewey Watts, C. 
Watts, and Harold Haynes.
