Anniston Star
G. F. Haynes 75, of L-G Glen Addie Homes, died Saturday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. in 
Anniston Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held 
today at 2 p.m. in the Concord Baptist Church with the Revs. D. Hurst and Roy 
Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gray Brown 
Service Mortuary in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state at the 
church one hour before the service. Mr. Haynes is survived by the widow, Mrs. 
Irene Haynes, Anniston; one daughter, Mrs. Q. T. Pinson, Birmingham; two sisters, 
Mrs. Dora Carpenter, Talladega, and Mrs. Mattle Kitchens, Tuscaloosa; two 
brothers, D. E. and Carl Haynes, both of Holly Pond; and seven grandchildren. Mr. 
Haynes was a former resident of Clay County.
