Haynie, of Route 1, died last Sunday after an illness of several weeks. Additional Comments: John B. Hayne married Ellen Mote in Cleburne County Alabama. Name: Haynie, J. B. Enlistment Information: Private. Date of Death: 1910/00/00 Regiment: Walthall Battalion Company: G Pension: Yes Comments: Pensioner: Mrs. Ellen Haynie, widow. Witnesses: R. F. Peacock & A. J. Ingram. WAR DEPT., THE ADJUTANT GENERAL'S OFFICE: no record was found of an organization known as Co. G, Walthall Battalion and the name J. B. Haynie was not identified. However, one Jesse B. Hayney (name also borne as Jesse B. Hainey and as J. B. Haney) is shown as sergeant and private, Co. B, 47th Alabama Infantry, CSA, enlisted Apr. 9, 1862, at Loachapoka, Ala. The name J. B. Honey as private of the same organization, appears on a roster dated Apr. 10, 1865, of prisoners of war belonging to the Army of No. Virginia who were surrendered and paroled at Appomattox C.
