Ashland Progress
Final rites for Mrs. Francis C. Headrick of Wadley Rt. 1, were held at Concord 
Baptist Church on May 18th at 3 o'clock pm, conducted by Rev. Dee Hurst and Rev. 
John A. Joiner. Interment was in adjacent cemetery, with Blair Funeral Directors 
in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Headrick passed away in the Randolph County 
Hospital at the age of 95. Pallbearers were Herbert Barker, Tifton Barker, 
Winford Jones, Fred Headrick, Tommy Headrick, Winburn Martin. She is survived by 
two sons, Luther Headrick and Lawson Headrick of LaGrange, three daughters, Mrs. 
Nancy Carroll, Wadley; Mrs. Nettie Martin, Alex City; Mrs. Inez Barker, Piedmont. 
Twenty-five grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, eight great- great-
grandchildren, a total of six generations.
