Ashland Progress
Mr. George Abram Heath, age 78, passed away at his home near Ashland on Tuesday, 
March 3rd. Funeral services were held at Liberty Baptist Church, of which he was 
a member, Wednesday, March 4th at ten o'clock, Rev. Floyd Burgess and Rev. Webb 
Brooks officiated, Blair directed. Interment was in nearby cemetery. Pallbearers 
were R. M. Hornsby, T. C. Hornsby, E. C. Gravette, H. J. Carwile, Howard Wright 
and John Baggett. Mr. Heath had been in poor health for many years and had been 
blind or partially for perhaps thirty years. He is survived by his wife, three 
sons, Owen, Chesley and Byron Heath. One daughter, Mrs. H. L. Baggett, several 
grandchildren, one sister and one brother.
