Services for Byron Heath, 58, of Ashland, Rt. 1, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at 
Liberty Hill Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold McCain and the Rev. Noel 
Vickers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield 
Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The family will receive friends until time 
of services at the funeral home. Mr. Heath died Thursday at Clay County 
Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Lee Heath of Ashland; two 
daughters, Mrs. Debra Sue Smith and Miss Barbara Heath, both of Ashland; five 
sons, Sherwood Heath, Brinton Heath, Jimmy Heath, Byron Heath Jr. and Johnny 
Heath, all of Ashland; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Heath of Cragford; two sisters, 
Mrs. Irene Roughton of Ashland and Mrs. Emmogene Hannah of Lafayette; four 
brothers, Clifford Heath of Ashland, Bill Heath, Ben Heath and Hilton Heath, all 
of Lafayette; and 28 grandchildren. Mr. Heath was a lifelong resident of Clay 
County. He was a truck driver and a Baptist.
