Anniston Star
David W. Helton, 89, of Lineville, died today at Clay County Hospital after a 
long illness. Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 
near Delta, with the Rev. Louis Bowen and the Rev Bill Mitchell officiating. 
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Blair Brown- Service Mortuary in 
charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amanda Helton; two daughters, Mrs. Irene 
Ingram of Lineville, and Mrs. Blanche Reid of Birmingham; three sons, Benny 
Helton of Indianapolis, Ind., Elmer Helton of Ohio, and Bayard Helton of Delta; 
two sisters; 18 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, eight great great - 
grandchildren, and five great - great - great - grandchildren. The body will 
remain at the funeral home until time of services.
