Lineville Headlight
News came to Lineville Wednesday night that Ben Henderson was killed by Earnest 
Cox in Randolph County near the Henry Foster place. Henderson was at work on the 
roadside when Cox came by with a shot gun and shot him while at work. An old 
grudge is said to have existed between the parties concerning reporting of stills 
in that community, and probably the harboring of escaped convict. Cox immediately 
went to Wedowee and surrendered to officers and is now in the Randolph County 
jail. Citizens of the community were in Lineville early Thursday morning 
purchasing burial material for Henderson.

Benjamin Henderson was born ca 1891 his death cert states he was buried at Mt. 
Moriah Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
