He had lived to a good old age, loved and respected by the. people who knew him. He was one of the county's oldest citizens. He was spending the day at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. W. J. Hill when suddenly he became weary and died in a few hours. The funeral was held Friday with Rev. F. J. Ingram, Rev. B. R. Layton and others. Besides his wife, eleven children and many other relatives survive. His sons are W. A., W. G., Thomas, Lucias. Sylvester and Wyatt. The daughters are Mrs. W. J. Hill, Mrs. W. J. Ingram, Mrs. John Lester, Mrs. Ed Ingram and Mrs. W. E. Denson. All the children except Mrs. Lester live in Clay County, she lives at Section.
