George Thomas Hendrix, 87, of Delta, died Friday at a nursing home in Lineville. 
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Black's Chapel United Methodist Church with 
the Rev. Hobart Murphy, the Rev. Paul Jones and the Rev. James Duke officiating. 
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Blair Brown Service Funeral Home 
in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Easter Luvada Hendrix; three 
daughters, Mrs. Kaylor Hill of Lineville, Mrs. Lindy Spurlin of Oxford and Mrs. 
Arnold Freeman of Delta; four sons, George Hendrix of Lineville, James Hendrix 
of Clayton, Hugh Joe Hendrix of Oxford and Thomas Fredrick Hendrix of Talladega; 
two brothers, Lucius Hendrix of Ashland and Wyatt Hendrix of Lineville; 25 
grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. The body will remain at the residence 
until time of services.
