Ashland Progress
Funeral rites for Cynthia Diane Hester, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buren 
Hester of Ashland was held at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Feb. 14th at. 2 
p.m. with the Revs. A. A. Jacobs and Burnice Burch officiating. Interment was in 
Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Blair Funeral Directors in charge. Diane passed away 
in Clay County Hospital, Feb. 13th after a short illness, at the age of 11 
months. Pallbearers were Jimmy and Jerry Hayes, Jerry Griffin, Wendell Wolfe, 
Ronald Robinson and Mattox. Flower girls were Virginia and Lucy Hester, Gale 
Hayes, Virginia Griffin, Barbara Stockdale and Pat Wolfe. Survivors include her 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Buren Hester, her grandparents and a host of other 
relatives.
