He had lived to the ripe age of nearly ninety years He came as a pioneer from Georgia to Alabama many years ago. He lived a useful life and left many friends and no enemies in all this country. He. was a member of the Christian church and lived consistently up to his profession. The writer has known and honored him for thirty-five years, and our father and grandfather knew him and honored him in the state of Georgia. We have often heard them relate interesting reminiscences of his early life in Troupe County. They were his fast friends for a lifetime. He left a large family to mourn his loss among them some of the most useful and worthy of our citizens. The writer has often enjoyed hours hearing Uncle Billy relate incidents of the early settlement of this country. The widow of this worthy citizen and all his family have our heart-felt sympathies. Peace to his ashes. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/al/clay/obits/h/hobbs3847gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/alfiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
