The Ashland Progress, May 31, 1928
"Barney Hobbs Dead -- The body of Barney Hobbs, who died in Birmingham, was 
brought back to his old home community and laid to rest in the Mineral Springs 
burying ground, Tuesday.  He was a son of A. T. Hobbs, well known citizen of 
that community, but had been living in the Birmingham district for a number of 
years.  He was married only a few months ago."
