Hobbs died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Crabb in Anniston Jan. 23, 1947, at the age of 89 years and three months, with whom she had made her home for the past nine years. She was able to go to her evening meal after which she retired. About eight o'clock she called her daughter and told them she was suffering with a severe cramping, which lasted about three hours when she quietly passed away. She was laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Church of Christ cemetery, beside her husband, who preceded her 21 years ago, also one daughter, Emma, who died 1911, a son, E. H. Hobbs, who died 1938. Surviving are Mrs. W.B. Crabb, Anniston, Mrs. W. Y. Smith Lineville, Dr. C. M. Hobbs, Guntersville and W. C. Hobbs, Lineville. She had been a member of the church for over 50 years. Bro.
