Anniston Star
Walter T. Hodge, 73, a farmer of Delta, Rt 1. died at his home early this morning 
after an illness of six weeks. Funeral arrangement will be announced by Usrey, 
Mr. Hodge was a native of Calhoun County, moving to Delta 19 years ago. He was 
member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow Mrs. Annie 
Hodge: five sons, Frank Thomas and John Henry Hodge, Anniston, Marshall and 
Emmett Hodge, New York City: and Leonard Hodge, Delta. Rt 1., nine daughters, 
Mrs. Pluma Phillips, Riverside; Mrs. Arizona Dunaway and Mrs. Lily Gallagher, 
Anniston; Mrs. Mae Woods and Mrs. Pearl Butler, Delta. Rt 1; Mrs. Bessie Hollis, 
Heflin. Rt 1., Misses Maudine and Joleen Hodge. Delta, Rt 1; and Miss Ida Hodge, 
Lendale, Texas; 48 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
