Alexander City Outlook
Washington Pryor Hodnett. 63, farmer, of Alexander City, Rt. 4, died suddenly 
Tuesday. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethany Church with 
burial in an adjoining cemetery, Radney Funeral Home directing. Mr. Hodnett is 
survived by the widow, Mrs. W. P. Hodnett; four sons, H. H. and J. F. of 
Alexander City. D. D. Hodnett, Malone, Ala., and E. L. Hodnett, South Carolina; 
four daughters, Mrs. Ira Cardwell and Mrs. Belmont Gregg, both of Alexander City, 
Mrs. W. L. Elliott, Wadley, Ala., and Mrs. Ola Bell Moore, North Carolina; two 
brothers, six sisters, 16 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr. 
Hodnett's first cousin John Nolen Hodnett, 78, died Monday here and burial was 
held Tuesday.
