Troy Williams officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hodnett died Wednesday at Clay County Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Linda J. Hodnett of Lineville, Rt. 1; two daughters, Mrs. Dranda Bryant of Cohutta, Ga., and Miss Amy Hodnett of Lineville; two sons, John Hodnett of Dalton, Ga., and Jimmy Hodnett of Rising Fawn, Ga. his father, Luther P. Hodnett of Knoxville, Tenn. two brothers, Quinton Hodnett of Rising Fawn, and the Rev. Otis J. Hodnett of Knoxville; and 11 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Coleman, Steve Elder, Collis Cagle, David Holcombe, Ray Hodnett and Ronald Green. Mr. Hodnett was a Cullman County native and a former resident of Chattanooga, Tenn. He lived in Clay County for the past 10 years. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Lineville Masonic Lodge No. 219, F&AM, and Valley of the Orient Scottish Rites, and McCollum Baptist Church.
