Otis Hodnett and the Rev. Troy Williams officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Benfield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hodnett died Sunday at Clay County Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lydia Hodnett of Lineville, Rt. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Essie Faye Harkins of Covington, Ga.; a son, Lonnie Ray Hodnett of Austell, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Mayleen Whitaker of Talladega and Mrs. Mary J. Guss of Marietta, Ga.; two brothers, A.B. Hodnett and Franklin Hodnett, both of Smyrna, Ga.; nine grand-, children and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Holcombe, Dale Holcombe, Wayne Griffin, Michael Griffin, Merle Whittaker, Glen Whittaker, Harold Hamil and Dicky Whittaker. Mr. Hodnett was a native of Clay County and had lived In Atlanta, Ga., for 30 years. He bad recently returned to Clay County. He was a retired employee of Ryder Truck and Lines in Atlanta and a veteran of World War n. He was a member of McCollum Baptist Church.
