Services for Carl F. Hodnett, 81 of Lineville will be today at 2 p.m. at First 
Baptist Church of Lineville with the Elder B.B. Finley officiating. Burial will 
be in Lineville City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hodnett 
died Friday at Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa after a long illness. Survivors 
include his wife, Mrs. Elsie C. Hodnett; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Sims of 
Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Carlynn Ward of Birmingham; a son, Bobby Hodnett of 
Cleveland, Tenn. nine grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Mr. Hodnett was 
a native of Clay County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lineville. 
He was a member of Lineville Lodge F&AM 219 and owner and operator of Kerley's 
Cleaners for several years. The body will remain at the funeral home until time 
of services.
