Services for Mrs. Elsie A. Hodnett, 83, of Lineville, Rt. 2, were today at 2 p.m. 
at Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville with the Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. 
Burial was in Lineville City Cemetery. Mrs. Hodnett died Thursday at Clay County 
Nursing Home. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marie H. Sims of 
Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Carlynn H. Ward of Birmingham; a son, Bobby Hodnett 
of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Runyan and Mrs. Clarice Callaway, 
both of Ashland; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were 
Everett Mitchell, John Gray, Emil Griffin, Don Hogan, Buster Parker and Pat 
Poland. Mrs. Hodnett was a native and lifelong Clay County resident, a housewife 
and a member of Lineville Baptist Church.
