People's Party
On the 27th, day of April 1900, our neighbor and friend, W. T. Hodnett departed 
this life and was buried in the cemetery at the Methodist church, on Sunday the 
29th. He was about 45 years old. The funeral services were attended by Rev. J. A. 
Shaddix. Brother Hodnett had no children; but left a wife, brothers and sisters 
and many friend to mourn his death. He was a member of the Baptist church and 
lived a consistent Christian life. In his death his wife has lost a kind husband, 
the community a good quiet citizen and Christian.
