Ashland Progress
Mr. William R. Hodnett, 86, father of Carl Hodnett, passed away at the home of 
his son, Millard Hodnett, Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted 
from the church of his membership, Providence Primitive Baptist, Monday morning 
by his pastor, Elder B. B. Finley, assisted by Rev. Cecil Little and Elder H. H. 
Goodman. Blair of Lineville directing. Interment was in the Providence cemetery. 
He was preceded in death by his wife about three years ago. He is survived by 
four sons, Ed, Carl, and Millard of Lineville, and Henry of Orlando, Fla. He is 
also survived by one brother, six sisters, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great 
grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. Pallbearers included Herbert 
Fargarson, Calvin Vickers, Crayton Vickers, Reuben Vickers, Willie Buckhalter 
and Lewis Mitchell.
