Several days prior to his death he contracted a cold, though nothing serious whatever was entertained of his early recovery. Little did loved ones dream that death was so near, me cold grew worse, finally developing into membranous croup which caused his death. Lowell was about seven years old and a most lovable little Lowell in every respect. He had a beautiful disposition and was a great favorite among his school mates. He will be greatly missed and especially at his dear home where loved ones never tired in ministering unto him. The funeral services occurred at the Methodist church on Friday morning last, being conducted by the pastor, Rev Daniel. A large congregation assembled to nay a last sad tribute to the memory of little Lowell. The interment took place in the cemetery near the Baptist church. The floral display was beautiful the little grave being literally strewn with flowers at testing the great love that all had for Lowell. The Headlight extends its deepest sympathy in this sad hour. May our Heavenly Father who took little Lowell home enable loved ones to say "the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord" File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/al/clay/obits/h/holdridg6182gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/alfiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
