Ashland Progress
Final rites far Mr. Greenberg Eli Hollis, Delta R. 1, were held at Shiloh-Delta 
Church on Oct. 12th, conducted by Rev. Lisha Croson, of Oxford. Interment was in 
church cemetery with Blair Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were David 
Shamblee, T. J. Hollis, Idus Hollis, Grady Horton. Render Phillips, K. J. Stone, 
Oliver Hollis, John H. Dempsey, Odis Hollis, James W. Hollis. The deceased had 
reached the age of 80 years, passing away at his home on October 11th at an early 
hour. He was born in Randolph County. He is survived by a brother, J. W. Hollis. 
A sister, Mrs. Obie Cheatwood and a host of other relatives.
