W. and Frances Hooton who died on the 30th of Nov. 1890 alter a short illness, age 2 years. Alasa how fresh in the memory of friends is and relative is the recollection of the loveliness and innocence of the lovely departed. All that was mortal is changed now and clouded forever, but how great should better comfort of relatives and in the well-grounded assurance that the good Shepherd who earth for his flock" has taken this gentle lamb into his own fold Father and mother, your child has gone to him who said ''suffer little children to come unto me." We know not how soon our time may come. Sweet Arthur is today beyond this realm of tears, he is living in the presence of God and the blessed angels of Heaven. No doubt his spirit is hourly hovering around father, mother, brother, and sister wooing them to follow in the footsteps of his dear Savior that when called from this life they may be with him in dory. Wherefore should any, even his sorely stricken parents, mourn as do those without hope. "It is well with the child" and we who miss him here on earth after a little while can join him in that better world where parting is never known and where tears are never shed. Julia M. Wood.
