Talladega Watchman says: Old Mr. Horn, from whom Horn's Valley derived its name, 
and who had lived to be quite a patriarch, died at his home in Horn's Valley on 
Wednesday last. Mr. Horn was ninety-six-years old; his children and grandchildren 
numbered 157, of these 127 are now living. Fifty of them are processing 
Christians, and forty-eight of these members of the Baptist church. The old man 
never had a lawsuit in his life and taught all his children to pay their debts he 
was thoughtful and conscientious on this subject and paid his attending physician 
his bill the day before his death.
