W. Horn, one of the old citizens of this community died at his home a few miles west of Ashland Wednesday night at 10 o'clock. He was about 68 years of age, had been in very feeble health for the last year or two and his death was no surprise. He belonged to one of the old, pioneer families of this section and was a good substantial citizen. He leaves a wife, five sons and a daughter. Three of his sons, Marvin, Hugh and Grady, and his daughter, Miss Maggie Horn reside near Ashland. One son, S. M. Horn, resides in Texas and another, Blake Horn, resides in Wyoming. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon and the remains were interred in Sardis cemetery.
