Ashland Progress
Mr. Horn passed away Feb. 16 at age 81 after a long illness. His funeral was at 
Clairmont Springs, Tues. afternoon, Feb. 18. Bro. Curtis Haynes, pastor and Bro. 
Robert Fletcher, deaf minister officiated with Usrey directing. Burial was in 
adjoining cemetery. Martin was born and reared here and attended the Deaf School 
in Talladega. He also worked in Chicago in early manhood. He is survived by his 
wife Lucille, two daughters, Mrs. Frances Steed of Spring Hill community and Mrs. 
Eula Driggers of Heflin; a son of Bham; eight grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers. A number of people from Bham, 
Talladega, Ashland and Lineville attended besides those in the community.
