Ashland Progress
Emory Horn, age 82 years, citizen of Chandler Springs, Talladega County, died 
Wednesday, October 2. Funeral services were held at Clairmont Springs on October 
4th at First Baptist church, Rev. J. J. Williams conducted the funeral service, 
with Will Wheeler and Will Patterson assisting. Pallbearers were grandsons of the 
deceased. They were Curry Horn, Clarence Horn, Curtis Horn, Dewey Harrell and 
Boyd Harrell. Honorary pallbearers were Messrs. M. F. Chandler, W. B. Kant, E. A. 
McWilliams, J. S. Miller, Bill Germany, and J. E. Langley. Mr. Horn is survived 
by his wife, four sons and two daughters. The sons are John, Henry, Matt and Bud. 
The daughters are Mrs. Will Harrell and Mrs. Annie Powers.
