C. & C. railroad at Chandler. Mr. Horn was a deaf mute. The funeral was held at Clairmont Springs Sunday, burial being at the same place. The deceased was 36 years of age and was survived by an aged mother and father, two brothers and one sister. Our Mountain Home: Lee Horn, 35, a deaf man, was killed instantly at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon when he was struck by an A. B. & C. passenger train one mile north of Chandler Springs. Horn was walking north on the railroad tracks when the train rounded a curve. The engineer saw him and blew the whistle but was unable to stop the heavy train in time to avoid hitting him, it was stated. The train carried 17 box cars and three coaches.
