Anniston Star
John I. Hudson, 93. of Ashland, died at 12:45 a.m. Saturday at his residence 
after a long illness. Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at Blair Chapel. 
Burial was in Clay County Memorial Gardens. He is survived by the widow; four 
daughters, Mrs. Vance Danner of Manchester, Ga., Mrs. W. H. Horne of Talladega, 
Mrs. Thomas Parker of Oxford, and Mrs. Gerald Gay of Warsaw, Va.; and 15 
grandchildren. Pallbearers were Groce Campbell, Charles Campbell, Theodore Bunn, 
Wayron Foster, Odis Kellum and Otha Atkinson. Mr. Hudson was a native and 
resident of Clay County all his life. He was a member of Mineral Springs 
Methodist Church.
