In early life she joined the M. E. Church but about 40 years ago she united with the Baptist Church, of which she remained a member until her death. In 1846 she was married, and she was the mother of nine children 6 sons and 3 daughters-six of whom survive her. She was a kind and affectionate mother and a consecrated Christian. God has seen fit to call her from this world to eternity, but we bow in humble submission to the will of Him who doeth all things well. To the children we would say: When you look upon her garments in the home, rejoice to know that she is with your Heavenly Father, clothed with a heavenly garment pure and white. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still; A place is vacant in our home, which never can be filled. The funeral services were conducted by the writer and her body was laid to rest in the New Harmony cemetery to await the resurrection. T. N. Denny.
