Ashland Progress
Mrs. Lucinda Powell Hunt died at the home of her son, Geo. F. Hunt in the Olive 
Branch community east of Ashland Friday. August 17, at the age of 87 years, 1 
month and 16 days. She had been very feeble for some time, due to her age. Mrs. 
Hunt's maiden name was McCain, she being a member of that well known and 
prominent family. She had only one child, a son, and she made her home with him 
all her life. Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning by Revs. F. J. and 
S. J. Ingram and her remains were interred in the Olive Branch Cemetery.
