Ashland Progress
Funeral services for George F. Hunt were held at Olive Branch Tuesday afternoon 
with Rev. Jim Ingram and Rev. Elmon Mattox officiating, White directed. Mr. Hunt 
died Monday afternoon after an illness of several months. He was 87 yean old and 
had lived in the Olive Branch community for 60 years. He was born in Clay County. 
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Sula Bartlett Hunt, one son, A. D. Hunt, three 
daughters, Mrs. O.J. Sims of Hogansville, Mrs. C. O. Beck of Gadsden, Mrs. T. W. 
Pope of Houston Tex., fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews.
