J. Hurst, a laborer at the mill of the Southern Graphite Company was accidentally killed last Friday morning. It is said that no one witnessed the accident, but that it was evident that he in some way became entangled in the machinery and could not extricate himself and was dead when found. He was about 30 years of age and leaves a family consisting of a wife and four children. Birmingham News: W. J. Hurst was accidentally killed by machinery Friday at the Southern Graphite mill. In some way Mr. Hurst became entangled in the machinery and was dead when found. He was 30 years old and is survived by his wife and four children, His body was buried Saturday at a Campbell Crossroads cemetery.
