Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mr. Robert R. Hurst of Ashland were held at Union Baptist 
Church on May 19th at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Dee Hurst, interment was in the 
nearby cemetery, directed by Blair Funeral Home. Pallbearers were E. W. Parker, 
Jordan Hurst, Olin Hurst, James R. Hurst, Jerry Hurst, Junior Bell. Mr. Hurst 
passed away at his home on May 17th at the ae Survivors include his wife; three 
daughters. Mrs. Shirley J. Sparks, Mrs. Pauline Culligan and Miss Betty Hurst, 
one son Billy Hurst. One sister, Mrs. Della Parker, Ashland Rt. 3. three 
brothers, Andrew Hurt, Dewey Hurst, Ashland; Corb Hurst, Alexandria.
