Mrs. Abbie Hurst, 81, died Tuesday at Lineville Nursing Home after a long 
illness. Funeral services were held p.m. today at concord Baptist Church in Clay 
County with the Rev. Harold McKinsey officiating. Burial was in the adjoining 
Survivors include her husband, R. B. Hurst of Lineville; four daughters, Mrs. 
Hettie Watts of Anniston, Mrs. May Freeman of Talladega, and Mrs. Bertha Morrison 
and Mrs. Louneal Hamnon of Delta; three sons, Clay Hurst, Bynum Hurst and the 
Rev. D. Hurst of Lineville; 28 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and one 
great great-grandchild. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
