Anniston Star
Mrs. Rosie W. Hurst, 78. 130 Curry died this morning at the residence. Services 
will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Usrey Chapel with the Rev. Gerstle Fuller 
officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The body will remain at the 
chapel until time of the services. Survivors include the husband, Jim Hurst, 
Talladega; three daughters. Mrs. Mary Davis, California, Mrs. Eldris Golden, 
Birmingham, and Mrs. Ruby Henslick, Talladega; a son, Howard C. Hurst, of 
Talladega and three sisters, Mrs. Maudie Carpenter and Mrs. Leon Hurst, 
Talladega, and Mrs. Effie Chandler, Ashville, and 17 grandchildren. A native of 
Clay County and a former employe of Anniston Manufacturing Mrs. Hurst was a 
member of the Concord Baptist Church in Clay County.
