Ashland Progress
Mrs. Samantha J. Hurst age 83 died last Saturday night at her home on the 
Lineville-Ashland highway. She is survived by one son, eleven grandchildren and 
eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Olive Branch Baptist 
church at 2:00 P. M. on Monday, conducted by Rev. C. R. Harrington. Interment was 
in the church cemetery, Blair directing. Pallbearers were Howard Veal Albert 
Hurst, Lumus Hurst, Franklin Hurst, Ocie Waldrop and Voss Hurst Honorary 
Pallbearers were Marvin Hendrix, O. K. Gaither, A. J. McGlon J. M. Pettus, Jabe 
Jenkins and W. A. Blackman.
