On January 9th, 1834, he was united in marriage Miss Mary Bandy, daughter of Judge Bandy of Morgan County, Ga. He afterwards removed to Pike County, Ga., in the year 1838, where he remained until the year 1846, when he removed to Chambers County, Ala., and from thence to Randolph now Clay County where he died. Miss Bandy, to whom was married, was a woman of much love- ness, and she retained all her elegance of manner and smooth, motherly tenderness, tb the last of her life, which occurred at the residence of her late lamented husband, in Randolph County, Ala., in August 1863. I need not say that she was Christian, for G.B. Jenkins would not have married an unbeliever. She was very pious, and more than ordinarily active in Christian work. She became the mother of four children, three of whom are living.................... J.P.
