Ashland Progress
Mrs. Jane Jenkins, wife of B. H. Jenkins, died at her home between Ashland and 
Pyriton, Monday afternoon at the age of 71 years. She had been afflicted for two 
or three years and the physicians attributed her death to heart trouble. Mrs. 
Jenkins had been a resident of Clay County for about 30 years, having moved, here 
from Georgia, her native state. She was the mother of twelve children, six of 
whom survive her three sons and three daughters. Her husband is also still 
living. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Concord.
