God called to the home of faithful Irving Jenkins, the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Jenkins. He was born on Nov. 29th, 1900, and died July 21st, 1920, having died from a gunshot accidentally received while taking his gun from a buggy. He died only 5 days from the time was shot until God called him from his suffering. He remained conscious until last and realized that he was going to die, but all the time expressed his willingness to go and was prepared to meet God. Time after time he called his loved ones and friends to his side and told them goodbye and that wanted them to meet him in heaven. He attended S. S. regularly d was a member of the Baracca, class of Delta Baptist S. S. living was a model young man, and his life was such it would be all for any young man to emulate. He leaves his aped father, other, 5 brothers, 3 sisters and host of relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death. Now it resolved: 1st, That in the death of Irving the Baracca and S. S. have lost one of their most faithful members. We realize that our loss is regret, but our loss is His eternal gain and commend his loved ones and the members of his S. S ass to the God whom Irving rusted. His labors ended with the day. His work on earth is done. No more dear Irving will we see, until the resurrection morning, it is resolved 2nd. We extend to the bereaved ones our heartfelt sympathy in their sad hours of bereavement and say to them that Irving is not dead but sleepeth. Resolved 3rd.
