Funeral services for James M. Jenkins age 74, a prominent citizen of Delta. Route 
1. will be conducted from, the Good Hope Delta Baptist Church at 11 o'clock 
Friday morning, with the Rev. F. J. Ingram officiating. Interment will be in the 
church cemetery, directed by Luquire. Mr. Jenkins died at his residence at 12:10 
o'clock Wednesday afternoon after an illness of two years with infantile 
paralysis. Among his survivors are his wife and four sons.  J.W., H. G., A. V. 
and T. R. all of Birmingham; two daughters, Mrs. Cevil Sims Ashland, Mrs. Eunice 
Hudson, Delta. A sister Mrs. W.E. Reagan Delta. Pallbearers will be J. J. Miller, 
E. Miller. Y. A. Shaddix, W. C. Mitchell, W. J. Ingram and S.J.. Rice.
