Services for Miss Bernice L. Jenkins, 74, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of 
Ashland, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Blair-Brock Funeral Chapel with the Rev. 
Mancil Carpenter and the Rev. Rocky Burkette officiating. Burial will be in 
Sardis Cemetery. Miss Jenkins died Thursday in Kansas City. Survivors include a 
brother, A C. Jenkins of Kansas City, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. Miss 
Jenkins was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and had lived in Kansas 
City for eight months. She was a member of Ashland Church of Christ and a retired 
schoolteacher. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m.
