Henry Jenkins, well-known automobile salesman, died at the Citizens Hospital in Talladega Thursday afternoon, July 5, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Jenkins was a former resident of Clay county, and before he moved to Talladega about 25 years ago, he was a familiar figure in Ashland, where he made his home for several years. He had a geniel and friendly disposition, and had many friends. He was a frequent business visitor here in recent years and the news of his death brought sorrow to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, two brothers and two sisters, viz: William and E. M. Jenkins, who reside a few miles north of Ashland, and Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Haynes, of Gadsden. Funeral services conducted by Rev. L. F. Stansell, pastor of the First Methodist Church, of Talladega, were held Saturday and the remains were interred in Oak Hill Cemetery, Talladega.
