Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Albert Jett were held Thursday, Feb. 3, at Mt. Carmel 
conducted BY Rev. Grady Birchfield with Blair directing. Mr. Jett was killed on 
Luzon in 1946. He was 26 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by 
his mother, Mrs. Pearl Jett, and two sisters and one brother. He was buried with 
full military honors. Burial was in Mt. Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers were members 
of the V. F. W. Post of Ashland. Firing squad was composed of members of the V. 
F. W. Post of Lineville.
