She was a daughter of a Revolutionary soldier and was 88 years old at the time of her death. She was born and reared in Washington county, Ga. She had been a member of the Methodist Church at Mt. Moriah for about 40 years. For the last 15 years she had been confined at home as an invalid for most of the time. This is the seventh year the writer has served as her pastor. Many times, he visited her read the Scriptures, sang, prayed and preached in her house. Often did she rejoice in the love of God and in the hone of heaven. In her long end sore affliction, she appreciated the visits of the pastor, and often expressed her gratitude to him. She expressed repeatedly her rediness to depart at the bid ding of her Heavenly Father. She Buffered much and long; but she was patient. Sho has ended her pilgrimage, we have good reason to hope, in glorious triumph. Let her children who still linger in the flesh be incited to Christian fidelity, in the hope of a happy reunion where parting shall be no more. W. T.
