Ashland Progress
On April 21st the Death Angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Johnson, of 
Talladega, and took away the spirit of their son to the celestial home above. He 
was 20 years old the 10th of April, his remains were brought to Clay County and 
buried in Concord cemetery where Mr. Johnson and family met with many 
sympathizers in their bereavement. The young man made the good profession that he 
was ready to die and meet his Lord in peace. Funeral services were conducted by 
Rev. J. I. Hurst.
