The decedent was the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jim John Swope, and live near Delta The body was brought home Thursday for burial at Bethel Church, near the end of the highway. The young man who was killed was widely known in the locality of Delta. He went to Birmingham pot such employment as he could, and soon made good. He was killed, so to speak, in line of duty. Mr. Johnson was shot, police say, after he had ejected a negro woman, said to be Selena Gilmore, 39, from the restaurant.
